The School Liaison Officer (SLO) works for the Child and Youth Services Division to help address educational issues involving military children and youth in the local school community. By partnering with the local and military communities, the SLO acts as a communication link between the Garrison and surrounding school districts.

SKIESUnlimited is an Army Child and Youth Services Program for instructional classes. The name “SKIESUnlimited” combines the acronym for “Schools of Knowledge, Inspiration, Exploration and Skills” with the word “Unlimited” for the unlimited learning possibilities this Program offers to military children and youth. SKIESUnlimited provides the framework or umbrella for all instructional programming in the CYS System worldwide. SKIESUnlimited encompasses instructional programs for children and youth from six weeks through 18 years of age.
Outreach Services is the umbrella Program for a multitude of patron services, including the Parent Central services Office, Kids-on-Site Care, Volunteer Child Care in Unit Setting (VCCUS), Special Needs Accommodation Process (SNAP), CYS Services Parents’ Advisory Council (PAC), Parent Education, Special Facility Openings, and Parents-as-Teachers/Heroes-at-Home (PAT-HAH) Educators.
The New Beginnings Child Development Center (CDC) offers Full-Day, Part-Day Preschool, Army Strong Beginnings Pre-Kindergarten, and Hourly Care for the children of Fort Huachuca Soldiers and civilians. The Center’s mission is to reduce the conflict between parental responsibilities and work requirements by providing enriching experiences; a safe environment; and warm, loving care and education for young children ages 6 weeks through Kindergarten.
Expanding Horizons offers Part-Day Toddler, Part-Day Stepping Stones to Strong Beginnings Pre-Kindergarten, and Part-Day Army Strong Beginnings Pre-Kindergarten Programs for the children of Fort Huachuca Soldiers and civilians.
Expanding Horizons is also home to the SKIESUnlimited program which encompasses all instructional programs in the CYS Services Systems for children and youth six weeks through 18 years in areas of knowledge, inspiration exploration and skills.
The Fort Huachuca Family Child Care (FCC) Program is your child’s “Home Away From Home.” Childcare is offered in leased housing on Fort Huachuca and off post. Our developmental program is supported by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines.
The Seifert School-Age Center (SAC) Program offers Before- and After-School Care and Hourly Care for children from the 1st through 5th grades during the school year and Full-Day Care during school-out days and vacations. A Day Camp Program is provided during the summer and includes field trips, special events/activities, and trips to the swimming pool.
The Middle School Teen Program offers After-School activities for youth from the 6th through 12th grades during the school year and Full-Day Programs during school-out days and vacations. A Day Camp Program is provided during the summer and includes field trips, special events/activities, and trips to the swimming pool.
The Fort Huachuca Youth Sports and Fitness Program is committed to providing each child/youth with an enjoyable learning experience. The foundations of the Programs are good sportsmanship and creating a safe environment where children and youth can gain a better understanding of each respective sport.
